my cat can't stop licking herself. this is not just cleanliness - it's out the other side! She is brushed regularly and is nervous so she doesn't go outside. why does she do this? seriously it's non-stop and leaves her with bald patches. She is very loved and I am starting to worry about it

This sounds like a nervous activity. How old id your cat? lIke people, cats get alzheimers disease and this kind of activity can be a symptom of that. I know I always say this, but it sounds like you need some professional advice, ie the vet

you could always check out www.catchow.com website by purina as it has lots of letters from cat owners with problems.
