Not advisable to give them bones - if small shards break off it can cause problems. You can give them meat etc. taken off the bone.
I wouldn't give bones to any animal to be honest, unless its a big bone which your cat won't be able to crunch through.
Not really madimoo. Cooked bones are harder more brittle than uncooked bones and your cat could have difficulty in digesting them or getting them stuck in their throat. Cats can cope with small uncooked bones, but not the larger bones such as lamb chops have.
I never give the cats anything with bones in, I get worried they may choke or the bone will cut their throats. My husband laughs at me cos they both catch birds/mice and crunch them up.

oh thanks for that info lottie I didnt know that
Some vets even advise giving cats small 'uncooked' bones such as chicken wings as it helps their teeth. However to give them to a cat who isn't used to them is not wise.

Our little dog came to us after being fed uncooked raw rabbit, bones and all from weaning until four months all and she was absolutely fine.
(She hasn't had any since though - I couldn't bear the thought of chopping up dead rabbits and chickens).
Send him out to catch a mouse Mandimoo!
