Not if its in brine......in oil should be OK
We've got two cats and I've always given them tuna (usually in brine). I pour off the brine (because it is salty) and then put the tuna in a separate bowl. They love it.
I buy tuna in spring water and give them that
Why not in brine annlinda...you got me worried now!!! Mine have tuna everyday.... I drain off all of the liquid by squashing the lid right down..... Is it a salt thing?

Fish is not enough for a cat to live on. It is missing some important amino acids which they need to be healthy. It's the reason that cats don't do well on dog food as dogs don't need it. Fish is actually not part of a cat's natural diet even though they think it smells and tastes divine:-)

Here's a great website that will tell you everything you would ever want to know about good cat nutrition.

Cats should be fed meat. That's their natural food.
A little but is ok, but as previous answers have said, try not to give them tuna in brine, as it's quite salty and not very good for your kitty!
mine have it as a treat!! tesco value in brine, then i remove all the brine, mash it into a bowl with lots of added water, and before u can call them for dinner, its gone!!!!! at least i know thet are getting fluids!!

wouldnt use it daily as its not meant for them, its like giving us cat food ...........
Mine have it once a week as a treat and they have it in sunflower oil, as they are oldies I dont think it has done them any harm they have chicken once a week and the rest is cat food and treats ect.
opps...Oh well you live and learn!!! I would like to stress that it's not all they get, they also have a dry complete down all day and lots of fresh water. The tuna [a small tin between two, was just a sort of 'breakfast treat'.....gonna have two peed of kitty's in the morning....lol
Thanks for the advice :O}

I give my cat Snoopy approx half a 130g tin a day but I always drain off the brine. Dont give it them in oil as it is too rich for your cat. I also give him Olly biscuits which he loves
