Your disturbing it won't kill it. Hedgehogs simply toddle off somewhere else if disturbed. But what to do is build a little 'hedgehog house'. Basically it's a shelter made of small branches, twigs, leaves etc. You can build it against a wall or under a tree, leaning the twigs against the upright surface and piling on more twigs. Or you can build it in a 'wigwam' style. Be sure to build the shelter somewhere secluded. If the hedgehog leaves its original nest, it will find a new spot, and they like 'hedgehog houses'.
