Hi all

Please help...I use Bob Martin spot on flea treatment on my Jack Russell. Almost every time, which is once a month, he is sick a few hours later and seems to be a little poorly for a few hours mor. Does anyone else find this problem? Is there something better that I could use which isn't too expensive?
Thanks for any advice

I use Frontline, i have never had any problems with it .Have just used it on my cat and dog
bob martin flea spot on or spray according to vets does'nt work anyway and i have always used frontline or strong hold which are both available from your vet.they are safe to use and if there was any problems then your vet would be able to give advice. they only cost a little more but are a much better buy. good luck.
Frontline spray, rather than the 'spot on' is much better. I don't like any of the spot ons, as they work by getting into the animals blood stream, and they don't all kill the fleas, some just stop eggs hatching but not the fleas that are on the dog.

I am afraid I would not use anything a second time if it made my dog ill.
this stuff is bought in a shop. i never buy over the counter flea and worm treatment. you dont know what else is in it. i only use frontline which you can now buy over the counter but has been until recently a prescription drug or stronghold which is a prescription drug from your vet. he is obviously allergic to something in this stuff.
it really doesnt work all this stuff you buy in a shop. it is not much more to buy frontline, they do still do it at some vets.
