NO! The Dog Lovers Registration is for dogs of any ancestry, you just pay your money and they give you 'papers' - unfortunately with so many KC reg staffs about, you will find it extremely difficult to find buyers for the puppies - apart from which, how would you know if the dog you use is her brother or even her father? (Not quite sure if its your bitch that is not registered or the dog you want to use? - If its your bitch then find a KC reg dog)

Please reconsider - there are way too many
Staffs being bred, and if you want another one, why not rescue one instead of adding to the overpopulation. Also so many people want Staffs for the wrong reasons - to make them look macho for instance. If you are thinking of breeding just to make money, think again, so much can go wrong and you could end up losing your bitch and having a huge vets bill, as Staff often have to have caesarians due to the size of the heads.

Also Staffs suffer from two major hereditary diseases for which there are DNA tests, L2-HGA and Hereditary Cataracts - You would be hard pushed to find a reputable breeder who would let their dog mate your bitch if she is not tested for these.
While I am no expert, I would definitely agree with lankeela-breeding is expensive and time-consuming. You have to be SO dedicated, and it isn't a "quick buck".

There are so many staffies advertised, and also so many in rescues all over the UK. Please think about rescuing, giving a dog its forever home can be really rewarding.

There are so many dogs who would love the opportunity to have a permanent home with a loving owner.

Lisa.
you could contact the kc reg club and ask them, my bitch is registered with dog lovers reg and i contacted them when i bought her as i have all her ancestory they said at the time that it would cost me 60 to do this but that was 3 years ago so i dont know if anything has changed.i didnt bother though as i bought her for a pet and not for show and that is the only difference between these 2 clubs, they are rival bussiness and no you cant register with dog lovers if you dont have history or if youve mated brother and sister it has similar rules as kc but the dogs are not for show,so again if your not showing them, then does it matter as long as theyre healthy and wanted as pets ,my friends dog is DL reg and so was her puppies and they all sold for 500 each , but i do agree if its only cause you want to make some fast cash then dont do it.
