Can they be ridden?

Been on a camel once- the sod threw me off, don't fancy falling from a giraffe's height!

they'd be good for crossing deep rivers without getting your feet wet but if you intend to do tunnels could i suggest a hard hat of some sort? make sure you get it all it's innoculations before you set off.

If you look at a giraffes back, it is sloped at a nearly 45 degree angle. You would need a special kind of saddle for that job!
