Price of updating to Norton 2007

Anybody know what the price is of updating to Norton 2007 on line compared to actually purchasing the new disc?? And is there any difference between the two.

These things vary almost daily - just go along to the site and go thru the process as far as you need to get the price - it will usually tell you the reasons ie features for upgrading while your doing this.

A more sensible course of action would be to uninstall the inefficient bloatware that Norton is and install superior ones available free on the web.


anti-virus :- Avast or AVG

Firewall : ZoneAlarm or Kerio or Comodo

Spyware;- Adaware and Spybot

My subscription has run out today! It's �35 to renew, �39.99 to upgrade or �49.99 for Norton Internet Security 2007 & Systemworks Basic Edition-Upgrade. That's from symantec. Unfortunately I don't understand any of it either. I renewed my subscription last year but I'm sure it was less than �30. I'm going to go with 'dodgyshirt' and download something like AVG this year.
