I don't see why not. If you are that interested go ahead.
If you are up at night, instead of watching the baby monitor, go watch the guinea pigs! or play with them!

I don't think you'd see them doing anything different at night than they do in the day -- sleeping, eating, walking around, digging. In the wild, they are active at dawn and dusk, but the species has been domesticated for so long that they keep the habits of the family they live with. Your GPs probably sleep when you do.
I think they sleep for about 6 hours. But as Kingaroo says I doubt what they do the rest of the time will be anything out of the ordinary.
Admit it kirky, you wanted to see if your pigs were anything like the ones from the Egg Card ads didn't you? ;-)
