hmmm bit tricky - i'd say its as painful as a paper cut, so it stings quite a bit but isn't actually that painful... the shock of being stung is actually worse than the pain itself.

kwl fanx, dat wot mi bro sed wen he got stung by a wasp (we were havin an argument ova wever it was a hover fly or a wasp and to proove it was a hover fly - that's what I thought it was - when it landed on a lilo i put it on his arm to test, and he screamed his head off to comfirm it was a wasp!! to make it even worse, he was allergic, so he came up all red and puffy like a red baloon! oops, from now on, i'll be letting him win the arguements :)

Wasp sting isn't that bad, but a bee sting hurts like hell. Like the scale of one to ten - one being chilled , ten being dead!?
As a child was stung by both but only when it was their last resort. The bee had flown through a moving car window and landed on the back seat where I promptly sat on it (very top of thigh - not bum!). It felt like a red hot needle and I remember crying (was only 8 at the time). The wasp stung me when it got caught between my arm & body. The bee sting was definitely the worst for pain (but then he did give up his life).
