Its that time of year again and the frogs in my pond are killing many of my fish (especially blue orfe) in thier passioniate embrace. Does anyone know how to get ther frogs off the fish without damaging the fish and/or how to protect the fish from the frog's misdirected amorous activity

There's not a lot you can do. I would think about netting the pond from early Feb until April to stop the frogs getting in.
If you've got room, why not build a small "wildlife" pond and encourage them to spawn in there.

Hope this helps a bit

As a very temporary measure, is it possible to remove some of the water from your pond into a very large bowl or similar container if you have one and transfer the fish into it (if they'r small ones) , just while the frog mating season is on? In my experience this only lasts for about a week or so, and then you could transfer the fish back again. Not an ideal solution I know, but if you don't have another pond you can keep separate for the fish I'm not sure how else to keep them apart.
