Stay away from any Cat with runny eyes. Could be Cat flu which in kittens can be fatal. Also it is highly contagious to other kittens and Cats. I would never buy a Kitten or puppy from a pet shop. Very difficult to find out the history of the animals.

Hope this helps you

My kitten had it when I first got him. I adopted him from a lady who had a bunch of cats and one had another littler. I think it was an infected tear duct and it is common in kittens. It can also be spread by cats if they're outdoors around other cats.

You can get eye drops from the vet or online sometimes. My eyedrops are called tetracycline or Panmycin Aquadrops.

i thought it was now illegal to sell cats and dogs in pet shops??
i thought it was illegal to but a local one to me sells them, i think they need a special license to do so. again i would never purchase a cat from a petshop you can never know what they carry, there are more than enough to choose from in rescue centres and you can be sure most will do stringent tests, vacines, neutering (or vouchers if animal is young), and chipping for such a small amount of money.
i agree with Tammera, there are so many cats at rescue homes, you really should get one from there rather then a pet shop. if you buy from a pet shop you are encouraging the trade.
