...of this glorious hot weather?

The only thing I find a little difficult when it's this hot is sleeping.....but that's my fault....I ned a silent and pitch black bedroom so no fans or open windows....

Other than that I love it......folk seem cheerier....the garden is thriving with a bit of hosing each evening..... the hose in one hand and a chilled white in the other....

And of course the Postie's shorts are shorter in summer......bliss..... ;-)

Oh no...don't talk of gardens! We both disabled and now cannot do out two small gardens and it is so bugging us. I love the warmth so nice to see the sun....but it shows up our gardens and people who we want to emply let us down or just don't bother to want the job. Sigh....bring on the mellower days just for us.... Then we can forget what's outside! I am speaking TIC of course...but just wish we could find someone to help.

Frustrating isn't it, Dunnitall......I've had that but not with the garden......it was fitting a sink....
If I was looking for a gardener I'd think about asking on my local radio......we have a great station though.....hope you find someone..x

Thanks gness. I am emailing locals advertising but I guess they have the pick of the jobs... Time of the year et al. Someone came out to look we loved him...said he would quote...nothing! I can't believe that me, OH and DD got him wrong.... He has never got back to us! Sign of the times....of people? I know not...but when one is in need it is frustrating... But don't let me detract....love the sun..dislike the winter lol. Xx

I do like the nice weather, and it's lovely to wear a dress.
The worst for me is the holidaymakers. We live right by the beach so when it's sunny we get hordes of children climbing up the dunes and staring into our house and garden. Even had people sit on the lawn and get a picnic out!

Best lounging on the sunbathing platform in the tree house, worse being stuck indoors working.

Dunnital, try Age UK. They have a gardening service in this area. They may have one where you live.

Worst? Hay fever.....my friends find it hysterical that a 6 foot ex ruffy-tuffy soldier can be incapacitated by flowers!
Best? Getting out on the bike in the evening, all the scantily clad females in their short summer dresses, tanned legs on show, or some wearing little strappy tops with a lot of cleava.....

I'd rather work than sit in the garden.....I'm such a fidget....I'm looking for a rocking chair for the patio so at least I can keep moving...

I do like to see my garden springing into growth and the tortoises outside and loving it. Worst are the screaming children in next doors garden.

Worst for me is that my skin is very irritated by sunlight. I have to keep covered up. No shorts and tee shirts for me. :-(

Best for me is that the house is lovely and bright and I can open the windows and blow some cobwebs away. :-)
