Yes it was taken in Spain, I see quite a lot of them there.

Looks like a Pine of some description to me.
This is the'Norfolk Island pine' (Arucaria heterophylla) Originally from Norfolk island in Australia. Not a true pine but its related to the Monkey puzzle tree from Chile, aka Chile pine. (arucaria arucana).
