Good evening and welcome to tonight's meeting of the Mad over Fifties Club.
Our tailcock tonight, a cheeky little latin number, will be the "Strictly Cha Cha Cha" a tribute to the latest series of Strictly Come Dancing. The hot plate special tonight a warming chicken casserole (well the temperatures have dropped) and on the pudding trolley we have a delicious creamy rice pudding, accompanied by a fruit compote. As always there is a varied selection of volley vonts and canopies
Up in the gallery the Minstrels are warming up, ready to give us their usual madrigals and toccattas, later on they have promised us a tribute to the greatest hits of AC/DC we might find ourselves well on the Highway to Hell this night!
For your further delight, performing in the ballroom will be local band the Tone Deafs playing some classics from the fifties. Also performing in the ballroom tonight, The great Marvo! Magician Extrordinaire! and is beautiful assistant Ethel.
On the north Tower the got tub is bubbling away, the mini bar as been refilled (yet again), the race track is open and the cars all revved up! The indoor swimming pool open (swimsuits are available) Members are encouraged to make full use of the facilities, the games room, and the library are all open for members (we have drained the outdoor pool) The bungee is ready for anyone wishing a "bounce" (just be mindful of the piranhas in the moat - they have been known to bite)
For the rofl tonight I offer:
A bag of tree clippings
tree loppers (busted)
Barometer (broken)
set of three paint tins (empty)
A warm welcome awaits all who dare enter these portals

carriages at midnight

A rare visit for me.
No Cha Cha Cha-ing at the momnet due to the crutches - so the facilities will be left alone. A warming plate of the casserole would be lovely.
For the rifle: four dropped stitches; one ferrule (scratched); two blister plasters; and a variety of painkillers.

Well hello there stranger! Haven't seen you around these parts in a while.
What have you done to yourself that you need crutches? And have you a spare set? Could use them myself. Damaged my knee and pulled a hamstring trying to get one of our big cats off our kitten!

Igor will be along in a mo with your casserole
Good evening sir, your casserole as requested. I've taken the liberty of fetching you a soft drink instead of the Cha Cha Cha

FRANK! Don't do THAT!!!!
Minor op - care and maintenance at the top of the leg... ... my punnish side would say some more music for the minstrels - a bit of hip 'op (groan).
Casserole is excellent - thanks, Igor.
Why do you keep big cats and domestics?
Good evening your nungateship, hope all is well with you and yours. Must say those cars look well revved indeed, looking forward to seeing the great Marvo in action ( hope there is no sawing involved !).
For the roffile I have one pack of playing cards ( only 41 in the pack though ) one throttle pedal suitable for a Saab 93 or a Vauxhall Vectra ( knackered, puts the engine management light on ! ) and six hazelnuts ( can't crack the little sods ).
Hi nungate and Mac. Bit of a struggle to get here. Malkin and Eric determined to watch Strictly although I promised to record it. They want to run a sweep on it. Sorry Eric.
Thought I would see if my tastes have changed over the years. They haven't so my rifle offerings are: Packet of assorted herbal teas, Jar of Ovaltine, Jar of Peanut Butter, Block of white chocolate and some Ryvita.
Cha cha cha? You asking? I'm drinking.

Evening Tony. We're all well, Queenie and her Dad are somewhere in Slovenia watching the Speedway Grand prix .... they'll be down later on!
Igor will be along in a mo with your tailcock

Molly is not really that big, it's just Teddy the kitten is so small and she's quite nasty to him, I'm not too sure how I managed to hurt myself but it was in a good cause (fur would have been flying)
We need the cats to help keep the domestics in line
Good evening Tony sir, I have your bucket. Mr Big, I have taken the liberty of bringing you one too, I did not quite understand that you would not be dancing the Cha Cha Cha, but I'm sure you could imbibe one
Evening BigMac and Daisy.
Sorry to hear of your injury BigMac, your also your nungateship.
Forgot to ask earlier, my usual bucket if you please Igor, Haven't you got Frank out of that errrrrr habit yet ?.
Question Author
Hello Daisy, I've also had to record Strictly for Queenie, she went upstairs almost as soon as she got home from work to watch this blessed speedway.
Igor will bring your drink presently. How were conditions for flying tonight.
Weather has turned a bit nasty since about 5.00
Hi Tony, hazelnuts? Where did you find them?
Igor, lovely to see you, I do hope those chains are not too heavy for you.
Has Frank settled down yet?

Hello Madame Daisy, I have your tailcock for you. Have you left Malkin and Eric in the snug? I shall pop in there in a moment with a little something for them
Left over from last Christmas, Daisy. Found them hiding in the shed earlier today.
Good evening Madame Daisy, I have your tailcock. Have Eric and Malkin settled in the snug this evening? I shall take them in a little something in a minute or two
We have to watchi him like a hawk. We have to stop his unfortunate habit
Question Author
So true Igor, so true.
Tell him if he doesn't pack it in pronto that you'll remove his new chains for a week, that ought to cure him once and for all, Igor.
That seems a bit severe, I think Madame would prefer not to do that just yet.
Maybe as a last resort
Sometimes find some funny things in sheds Tony. You need to be more careful.
I am sure Eric and Malkin are being beautifully looked after. They love coming here. They do rather monopolise the snug though.
I do admit that it is a bit severe Igor, but as you say a last resort maybe.
However stopping him from using the polish for a day or so may have an affect on his errrrr behavior for the better !.
