Bored stiff...surfing the tv....came across a programme called "Valentine Warner eats the Sixties" - freeview channel 12 - and I can remember it all
He's up to Angel Delight now but it was the Dunkie doughnuts at the horrendous cost of 3d a pack that did it.
Oh no, Smash now.
Have I missed the Vesta curries?

Oh wow! It's just come on! Looks just as bad as I remember
It's on Yesterday, Sky channel 537 and there's also Yesterday +1 on 538.

Just turned over and he poured something onto a bed of rice - could have been the Vesta curry. Used to love their Chow Mein.
Funny you say Channel 12...thats what I am watching Top Gear on..(Dave)

Yesterday ..channel 19 is what you seem to be on.....They swapped channels recently ..how long since you did a retune?....mmm....
Cor! Captiain Birdseye's Fish Fingers. Now I could just go for a Fish Finger butty!!!
Question Author
I shall do a retune then, Common, as my Dave's on 19!
However, as I live out in the sticks, I reckon they ration our channels so we don't get too edumacated.
I first noticed it when I saw there should be an ARGOS sales channel on Freeview 55..otherwise I was happy enough...when I retuned I got the channel 55 and Dave had swapped with Yesterday and a couple of other bits and pieces appeared too...
lol...when I saw your post I went off Top Gear and had a good laugh Eating the Sixties...Thanks..:-)..did make me feel a bit old...but well dammit I AM old :-))

He finished up with a dinner party of prawn cocktails, some dreadful crab in aspic thingy, chicken Kiev and a baked Alaska.
I have to say my baked Alaska was far superior as I used to use raspberry ripple and pipe my meringue on in posh peaks!
Black Forest Gateau "a little cream sir?" was the standard end to a dinner party in my day....nice!..then coffee cheese and bicuits..and a large Cognac of course! He he! Didn't we lap it up!

Oh and he had a bottle of Babycham. My old Mum used to love one of those. I think it's still made but I had forgotten it.
lol..wonder he didn't serve the dreaded "Blue Nun"...German sort of Leibfauchmilch or something it was.or the 'orrible red fizzy Lambrusco..Ugh!

Lol..real social climbers we were:-)
We still have some Babycham glasses in our "cabinet" side by side with two small botles (unopened)..Jeez must be over 50 years old !!!
