Ticks

I need to clean a wooden ferret house that has had ticks in it, The ferret has now been removed to an in door enclosure and been frontlined, she has all clean bedding and she is doing well now, but what is the best thing to use to kill all larvae and tick pods from her outside enclosure, she will not be going out side for a few weeks or more till i know that they have gone but I do not want to over dose her with pestisides, all bedding in the out side has been burnt, but I would like something that I can use in a garden sprayer that I can spray her house out which will last but not harm her, I do not want to overdose her with more frontline.

Personally I'd use a steam cleaner - no nasty chemical residues and nothing will survive a good ol' blast of steam.
Don't know if it will deal with ticks but Jayes fluid is a pretty good disinfectant for use in the garden as it soon degrades. Years ago my dad who kept poultry used to do all his hen coops with it and never had any problems with after effects

The thing is that i use jayes quite often, love the smell, We introduced a male ferret from the rspca at the end of march and we think he was the culpret, steam clean is a great idea but i dont think it will get in all the nooks to boil the bustards. but thanks

She is a bit of a chewer, x rabbiter, I would be frightened to leave it in just in case she would chew it, but i could hng a few around for future, but need to kill all pods that are in there now.

thanks 2 short. I will get some tomorrow, can you ask him what is the best disinfectant/killer that i can spray around, I have loads of mite kill from the chickens, but will it kill the ticks, sorry but very paranoid of putting her out at all, the hutch she has is 12ft by 3ft by 4 ft high, it is like ferret heaven with loads of toys tinnels, tyres, mud pit, and we are hoping to get a partner for her when she is well,

Frontline spray would kill the ticks.
