Yesterday we came across a beautiful Hawk Moth (or Hummingbird Hawk Moth) in our secret garden. It was the first time I have seen one. It was about 2" long and nearly as thick as my thumb, also very lively! I had to quickly move it away from the dogs as Gilly was wanting to play with it. Hope we eventually get to see the Hawk Moth in flight.
This is the little fellow we found:

I don't have a garden, but there is a giant spider living on my veranda - I'm not too keen on them and it makes an appearance every time I'm out there :(

A fox keeps leaving his calling card for me to clean up, but apart from that nothing. Unless you count a grass snake.

I'm with you on the spiders there, Karen! Don't like those at all!!

red, your cats must be a right laugh! They sould so cute!! When our Wolfhounds see a fly in the lounge, they tend to jump up and try to catch it! Trouble is, at 11 stone weight and reaching nearly 7' when they stand on their back paws ... well, you can imagine I don't like them doing that in the lounge ... they tend to end up moving the furniture around! GRRRRRR! lol

Lovely moth, snags! Like some of you, we did have a fox living in the garden, but I think he has left, probably because of our Wolfies. We also have a little rabbit who occasionally shows up and severl lovely butterflies.

I so love hedgehogs, sandy! I've rescued several over the years. So sweet! We did have one a few months back, but no idea where his is now.
Too many flaming moggies and magpies knocking off the songbirds. 3 curlews flew over it yesterday.
Not a creature but when I found it I had no idea what it was
