Ratter- have you heard any local rumours (farmers predictions etc) about the weather in ND for the next couple of weeks? My friends down there can`t enlighten me. I was thinking of going home in about 10 days. I have always had leave at that time of year and have nearly always been lucky but I`m thinking I might leave it until July (before the kids break up, thank God) It just doesn`t seem like typical June weather at the moment. It`s a shame we don`t have Bill Tanton anymore.

Giving the game away a bit, but I live in the next road to the Met Office and sometimes see the wholly unprepared scientists arriving for work in the pouring rain. Doesn`t give me a whole lot of confidence in their predictions.

That`s funny redman. I know a farmer who has a weather forecasting stick in his yard. It`s stuck on a wall and when the stick is down, it`s going to rain. When the stick is straight out it`s going to be sunny. It works too. I think the humidity in the air affects the stick.
