Our treasured 18 month old (neutered) Burmese tom cat has not been home since around 5pm on Saturday 26th March 2005., we live in Kirkintilloch, Glasgow. Have put flyers around the houses, notices on the fences, will be advertising in the paper and making more phone calls tomorrow (everything is shut with the Easter weekend). Its the most awful feeling, his companion burmese is pining for him, she keeps on going to the cat flap and looking out. Its awful just not knowing where he is.

It's a dreadful feeling when this happens.  I hope all is well and hope he returns soon. xx

Unfortunately no sign of him so far.  Rang everyone I can think of this morning, vets, cats protection league, local council, police ... its a horrible feeling, really hate to think we wont see him again.
I don't want to upset you unduly but pedigree cats are often targetted by cat thieves.  Has this been happening in your area at all?

Hi, don't give up hope yet, i know exactly how you feel but as you read in my post my cat did come back and none the worst for wear.  I hope very much that he's on a spring jolly.

Yours is only young aswell, as with mine - i now know that he might do this next year and then wont be so freaked.  But if it's the first time he's done it, it is just so worrying.

There are more leaflets up round my way at the moment for another missing cat.  So it really is the time of year.

Let us know.

Unfortunately still no news, we spend so much time staring out of windows and looking around every time we go out.  My other burmese girl is frantic, she misses him so much.  She has lost her companion and playmate.  Normally, if you found her, you found him.  The other two cats arent really so bothered but they always just do their own thing anyhow.  I am trying to keep my hopes up and stay positive but it gets harder each day.  5th day now. Thanks for all your good wishes though folks.
Any news yet?
Question Author
Unfortunately no news.  I have an ad in the local paper today, so I am hoping something will come of that.  I had posters on my fence and also on a friends fence, for some reason they have been completely removed.  I thought it might be kids messing about but there is no sign at all of the posters.  My mind has gone into overdrive, makes me wonder if someone has pinched him and is removing any reference to him?  Everyday that goes by it seems really remote that we will get him back.
