hi dt - no just to mullion. been away trying to take care of mother 350+ miles away - who may or may not go into a home this weekend and now back to take care of sil who is housebound and not able to look after herself.
all my spare time is mine to do with as i wish. what should i do with it? any suggestions?
Question Author
mamy if i can find one you are certainly welcome to it. if not you'll just have to make do with sloe gin.
Question Author
thanks for bobbi cheering to know someone cares.
red - will leave that to whoever feels like it. just can't be bothered. never alter my watch just add an hour on. yes i know i'm lazy but it is my watch.
Cancel the rock, sloe gin will do fine.

Hope all goes well with family♥

cheers mamy. i made about 3.5 litres. do you think we can manage it on our own or should we invite anyone else to the party?
sorry to hear that L-J - I have issues with mine - dementia. Its got to the point that she doesnt know my youngest sis who lives in Jersey and well grandkids.....Have two other sisters, one who lives 2/3rds of a mile from the Pandora at Weir - guess you saw the news yesterday.

Anyway we are not to the home stage yet - been trying to get her to get the house sorted out and things like the drive - a slow battle!

350 miles from you - sounds like somewhere around the Peak District or Cheshire......

Quiet weekend here too....
Question Author
dt - no sorry did not see any local news yesterday - still travelling -.what happened? nothing bad i hope.
350 miles think beyond m25 territory.
mother is very independant minded and awkward with it and i have to admit able to irritate and upset neighbours. doesn't realise she is doing it - speaking her mind. doesn't like it back though. lots of ruffled feathers to soothe.
expect you know what i mean.
yes I do know - we have the occasional one such as her dentist but no one living nearby, being out in the sticks between Truro and Zelah/Mitchell..

The Pandora caught fire about 10am yesterday and essentially quickly burnt out because of the tinder-like nature of the place, the thatch and being 13thC. No one hurt though the manager's son had a close shave.......40 firemen needed, a specialist extending ladder and hoses plus a helicopter dropping water
Question Author
dt - wow. thanks for that. sounds horrific. no i had not heard anything of that.
you might be able to pick it up on BBC i-player on spotlight news yesterday - it featured as their top story.
