Hi twinny - how is he now? Has he had this cough before and is he showing any other symptoms?
Question Author
He is still coughing but qieter he seems tobe trying to sleep never done this before x
How's he now twinny? Just saw this?
Well I am glad to read it is less bothersome to him now. If he was my dog I would keep him off treats but offer him some milk which is a bit thicker than water. Just try to keep him calm and reassured. If the cough persists get him checked out by your vet. (I had a great little yorkie some years ago.) Hope he is soon feeling 100% again.
Have you looked to see if there is any obstruction in his throat twinny - could he have swallowed some foreign matter?

No he had not got anything he was with me while I watched film and then just started coughing xx still coughing but not so much thanks again xx
Coughing can be a sign of heart problems twinny,so it would probably be a safer to get him checked out maybe sooner than during the week. Hope he's ok

Yes will do ..love him to bits so if no better will take to vets a.s.a.p. don't want to risk anything with him xx
understand ;-)...they are our babies
Quite so twinny. linda is correct of course, I have had a few dogs who developed heart problems but their coughing started gradually rather than with an extended coughing fit. One of mine was born with only one heart valve operational but lived to be 16yrs. I would take him to the vets on Monday for your own piece of mind.
