what citizenship?

i am Polish married to Asian. we have been living in Uk for 11 months. we have 1 week old baby. what is going to be the citizenship of our baby? We are not settled here yet.

Not British. For your child to be British, at least one of its parents have to be a British Citizen.
As it stands, I would think that your baby would take on the nationality of either you or your wife, but you would still have to register it as such.

maybe someone can come up with a solution for you.

If you choose Polish citizenship for your child, then he or she would have the right to live and work in the UK, as Poland is part of the EU.

Even though the baby cannot have British citizenship, I think you still have to register the birth at the local register office.
You can apply for british citizenship without one parent needing to be British. It depends on your partner's immigration status here though?
I agree with the above you should register Polish for the EU rights that will bring which would probably be more beneficial in the long run. I didnt know that the baby couldnt be British even though born here due to parents nationality not British thats interesting
