Yes, my female kitten brings collects hair bands and scrunchies from aound the house and puts them in her food and water bowls. Not sure it's for me but she always looks very pleased with herself, and I have a feeling she'll do things like yours when she starts hunting outside.
My kitten collects bread from around the neighbourhood gardens and brings it to me. My neighbours must think the birds have a huge appetites! Bless her
My cat brought home a baked bean tin (empty) once - it was stuck on her magnetic cat flap collar. Don't know how far around the neighbourhood she'd walked with it on - she must of felt a bit of a div!!
My 11 year old neutered males have been bringing me mostly live animals for a while now. Obviously they do sometimes go and bit far and kill them, and regularly eat them, but more often than not they come and find me with a scared but alive mouse or bird hanging from their mouths. They miaow as they come in (talking with their mouth full I blame the parents) until they find me. I thank them, liberate their quarry and go back to my work.

I knew a cat who bought his owners conkers from the garden and laid them at her feet to play with.
I actually laughed at the baked bean tin one.....brilliant!

If wer'e onto creatures now, my last cat bought home a squirrell and left it(thankfully dead) in front of the fridge! Was it for me to eat or perhaps she wanted me to keep it cool for her for dinner later on.!!
That baked bean tin one is hilarious!

The only thing my monster hunts is insects - eating the smaller ones but usually just torturing and then leaving the larger ones. I regularly find large spider corpses around the house.

He doesn't bring me anything but he's very adept at stealing things - hair bands, pieces of paper, sweet wrappers out of the bin - that sort of thing. I generally find little hoardes of them under chairs!
When my cats were 6-month old kittens, they scratched up lots of crocus bulbs which I had just planted in the garden, and deposited them all over the kitchen floor!

Another cat years ago would chase away any birds eating bread scraps on the lawn, and he would line all the bread up on the doorstep! Weird.
so we have one cat supplying the beans and another the bread!

Thanks for the laugh!
My cat once brought a mushroom. It was quite nice of her as I'm vegetarain, perhaps she knew and brought something she thought i could enjoy.
my cat has brought me a few interesting things a womble,(like the ones you get with happy meals at mcdonalds) A pond fish, it looked like an expensive one too! and her favourite is the wrapping from cigarette packets the crinkly stuff that makes a noise.

Hi Everyone, I have had a really good laugh at the present's your pet's have brought home, the bake bean tin really made me laugh I bet it looked hilarious, I bet "Athley" that your cat lost it's "street cred".............

Oh!... the the bread one too, I've had cat's who took lumps of bread off the garden and brought it in the house too, I think that they must think that the bird's will come in for it!.......

Earlier in the year my cat's would bring in baby apples which had fallen and play in the house with them also fir tree cones!...... I'm pleased they not bringing in my planted bulb's,the Squirrel's are doing a fine job of doing that to bury their nuts.

Thank you so much for your stories it's been a real pleasure reading them X X X :-)

I was telling my grumpy brother about this thread, I find cat behaviour must more interesting than dog.

He said "do they have a weirdo cat section on that site?"

Every week or so I tell him of some weird story - cats going home to do the toilet when out playing was my favourite until now. Thanks cat woman for starting this thread.

I am waiting to adopt a cat from the puddycat orphanage, hope he has as much character as the rest of the cats here.
Yes my cats street cred is officially zero after the baked bean tin incident. Luckily none of her cat mates saw her trying to get through the cat flap with it attached!!!!

Great question I really enjoyed everyones stories hope more come through too. Cats are so wierd!
