I don't know how long they've been around but I only spotted some during today's shopping expedition :-

Walkers Cheese and Lineker crisps.

You couldn't make it up - probably tasteless LOL

I think that's  really clever and amusing.

I am easily pleased.

Methinks you've got confused!

The 'Lineker' crisps are 'Salt & Lineker' (not 'Cheese & Lineker') because 'Lineker' sounds a bit like 'vinegar'.

There are 5 different designs, with this being one of them:

The promotion pays tribute to Walker's similar 1999 advertising campaign, featuring 5 pack designs for 'Cheese & Owen' crisps:

Question Author

Yes, my bad, it was salt and lineker.

Perhaps just an effort to encourage traffic on another quiet day?

Any old rubbish will do, apparently.

To be fair, I still call them salt and Linekar and cheese and Owen. Occasionally I'll have smokey Beckham 😊

I've not seen them either, last century or this, but if they're only sold in multipacks the individual packs may not show up on Tesco shelves.

Question Author

These were individual packs on Sainsbury's shelves.

ah, I haven't been to Sainsbury's for a few weeks, I'll look them up when I'm there next.
