Me old dogs colon is not working properly so she's not going to toilet properly vets told me to give her psyllium husk capsules how soon do these work and has anyone else dog had this problem

It might be similar to Fybogel for humans, softens the stool. Not strong like Exlax, may take a day or so, very gentle. Also try a little olive oil in the dog's food?
