Does anyone know how i can stop these from coming into my house, i think they're either coming through the front door or down the chimney?

There seems to be a plague of them at the moment.  The cats are eating them and I'm hoovering them or flushing them down the loo.  It seems to be countrywide.  I don't think you can do anything to stop them coming in the seem to be getting into everything.  I know they are not particularly welcome guests but I don't think they are a health hazard.  They will probably disappear once this warm weather disappears.

I was referring to black beetles.  We always have loads of spiders anyway.  Our house is really old and spiders love the beams.
