A while ago there was a study published.

It said that a good way to take your mind off a jab is to look at the back of your other hand as it is done.

I have no idea why this should work.

Had letter today, GP wants to discuss xray results on right hand. Hope it's not bad news and I have to have cortizone injection or worse POP - lost without use of right hand.

I hope so too, he wants to check my kidneys, liver and stomach and run some other tests too. I'll keep you all posted though.

Brilliant, just broke a bit off my tooth chewing a mint. Now I will need a hand to hold I can't stand dentists. Got a check up next week, think I might end up ringing to see if I can get in tomorrow. Urgh.

It used to fascinate me back when I was allowed to give blood watching it come out (yes, I'm weird too!).

Mind you, I have loads of bloods taken, at least every 2 weeks at the mo, so probably just as well! :)

I went with my friend when she had an emergency dental apt to hold her hand (literally, bless her) as she's a bit scared of dentists.

I was quite fascinated! The dentist was even showing me the little xray things before they pulled a tooth out.
