My son does not wants to go to Uni and we are trying to guide him into looking for an apprenticeship. He is very interested in Athletics and doing a PE as an A level along with Biology & Geography.
Does anyone know of any good companies/websites that offer sport apprenticeships (of any kind)?
Thank you :-)

It depends whether he wants to study for the Apprenticeship qualification - and if there is one in Sports topics. Your local FE/adult education college would be a good place to start. We offer admin apprenticeships to people already in employment (they get an NVQ at the same time) or people can be employed on short-term contracts to get the same qualification. You need to find out which apprenticeships are actually available, first.
What is your son aiming to do with a sports qualification? If its any help, my son left school after GCSE's. He got a job in a Virgin gym and worked his way up from customer care (basically cleaning up after the gym members) through lifeguard, fitness intructor, and up to qualified personal trainer.
All this was funded by the gym, while being paid, although at personal trainer level he was expected to start taking on customers on a commission basis.
