Quite a few White cats are deaf, also quite common for White cats to have 2 different colour eyes.
And they leave a lot of hair everywhere.
Yes their hair is very visible.

Keep at least one room in the house where he's not allowed to go. I'm used to everything I own being covered in white hair, but my bedroom is sanctuary where I can put my clothes down safely.
I dunno about yours but mine, a female and also a rescue cat, is very needy and demands a lot of affection.
I also got told by someone that she must have a coloured hair on her somewhere or she'd be deaf. I told them that if they could find it, could they pull it out please because she likes the sound of her own voice.

But then, so do black cats - and having two I should know....

My cat leaves clumps of fur. Bloody annoying on a cream carpet...

Mojo, my cat is very vocal to and he follows me around a lot crying for no apparent reason. Just looks intently at me and meows! He's not deaf as he runs away at every noise and if someone comes to the front door you can't see him for dust!

Beckersjay, how is it with black haired cats? Do they shed a lot of hair? Maybe they do but it's not that noticable?
Ive got a dalmation (not a cat i know) but the black hairs show up on the light stuff and the white hairs show up on the dark stuff, so there is no winning. Got a white cat, so know how you feel, esp as ive got black bedding.

Cats get more vocal the older they get, so get used to it miz as it'll just get worse. When I brush my cat, a tabby, I can get a carrier bag full of hair inside 20 minutes. You might find a Furminator useful, they don't leave much hair about after a going over with one of those.
BTW I have stone coloured sofas so I notice my cat's hair very easily.

We had an all white rescue cat when growing up and he was definitely not deaf.
I had a long haired black and white rescue cat who hardly shed at all and then two short haired black and red tortoishell rescue cats, although I lost one of them last week, and they shed so much (cream carpets too). I have to try and get down on my hands and knees before hoovering to get the hair up and there is always so much more than you can see! Especially bad at the moment as they have been moulting for the warmer weather.

If you think you've problems with a cat imagine what it was like with a long haired GSD.

We have four, one tabby and white, one ginger, one black and white and one completely black - the hair is everywhere! I tend to buy those sticky fluff remover rollers to remove cat hair from the furniture and our clothes, they are very effective but sometimes a lot of sheets are needed to "de-cat" things, believe me, white cats don't shed any more hair than the others it just seems they do.

my cat is black and white, so I can't win, not joking. Both type of hair show up on beige plain carpet where she sits, any bedding also clothing. Must admit the black hair is the worst shows on everything, and talk about talking.....
she is a quarter siamese, 18years old, never shuts up...follows me meowing,
its like someone constantly nagging you.

Ch-chi66 and all, you've made me smile tonight. Glad I'm not alone with the cat situation. When I first got the cat he hid all the time, now he follows me around the house shedding fur on whatever he touches!
you answered a lot in your last post!he follows you around ;-) you have a fan now and because he was abandoned before ,is a stressed cat from abandonment. but he has now found someone he trusts i.e. you !! please forget about the fur for the moment and just enjoy each other;-)
Smoke is blck with a white undercoat so I get the best of both! When he has a scratch it's like a little nuclear mushroom cloud of fur.Find fur everywhere, even in my cuppa!

Our ginger moggie likes to lie on the beige hearth rug. It doesn't look as though he sheds hair at all until the rug is hoovered, then the vacuum cleaner is clogged up within seconds
My cat is mostly white and one who won't let me put a brush near him.
I just hoover a lot.
Mr Frog's old cat Sally (passed away last year and we still miss her so much!) actually liked being hoovered. She'd just lie there in ecstasy while I ran the hoover brush over her. If only all cats were like that.
