Help! ID tags for Dogs that LOVE to swim??

Need new ID tag for the dog due to a recent move - He loves to Swim and so the tags always get very wet and some have rusted, others worn down and fallen off.
Really need one that is waterproof, non fading, non rusting and suitable for a bit of rough and tumble sporty type dog!!

Anyone recommend any or know of place to get such a tag? It's sooo costly having to keep replacing them!

How about a metal one and after having it engraved painting it with clear nail varnish, when the varnish chips clean and repaint.

My dog has had one of these for over a year and she swims in the sea almost every day.Because it fits over the collar, there's no chance it will come off.
