so sorry about the terrible title! my ex husband who i have 3 children to (who is black) has just informed me that black people are bad swimmers!!! my opinion is that, if it seems to him that black people are bad swimming, this is because they have been told that they are, and so it becomes a self forfilling prophecy! he argues that black people have heavier bones!?! thought a skeleton was a skeleton. who is right? tthanks peeps

When we were kids in the 60s we were indeed told that black people sank in water. We were also told that black people couldn't play football because they had no "bottle".
