Hey,
I'm not gonna ask who its by cause I know already (Tarnation by Max Avery)... but the tune reminds me of a song by a male artist, but this one has lyrics. I can't put me finger on what it's called or who. Very slow song just like the one by Max, and think I've heard it from some american drama programme like The O.C or something similar...

Anyone want to throw some songs at me that sound similar to this tune?

It reminds me of First Day of My Life by Bright Eyes, not sure if that has been on the OC though.

Might be:-

Elliot Smith (Several Tunes)
Jose Gonzales - Heartbeats (Sony Bravia TV AD)

Both kinda in the same acoustic/strings vein.
