The Shaft of Light

Does anyone else remember the Home Pride adverts from many years ago, with the HP mother coming down a shaft of light in her helicopter, or I am becoming senile? This will help resolve an argument with my wife, who thinks that I am losing the plot!

Teash, I'm looking for some support here! This cropped up when we were walking in the Yorkshire moors yesterday, and a shaft of sunlight broke through the clouds. This reminded me of the advert, and I told Mrs. Sado. She just looked at me in the way that only wives can.

Maybe she's right!

hello mate, just tracked you down via your name in search, you very kindly gave me some good advice on taking my jsac (remember the dodgy name) it is now a done deal. is there any relevance in the lenghth of time taken in sending the results, ie:- quick for a fail slow for a pass ??

No. They will contact you when they are ready, this may take a long time, or not, as the case may be. You must understand that due to the nature of the work, security checks need to be completed, and this is what takes most of the time.
Be patient, and good luck for the future. I had 25 years of it, I'm glad to be out , but then, I'm an old man now.

hello mate, would you believe i am still waiting for my jsac result. i think they must do jsac's differently in the eastern area, because security checks are not made until after the fitness test has been taken, which is not done at the same time as the jsac. i understand that some areas do everyting on the same day. bearing that in mind, do you not think it is a long time to wait for results. i won't mind if it's good news, but the disapoijntment will be greater it it is not.

Patience. Results will not be issued until all the JSACs have been completed. They will contact you.
