would they really be taking photos and clamping chitty as in the ads for road tax evasion, surely chitty is a classic car and is road tax exempt.

I'm sure as a tax exempt vehicle you still need the tax disc but dont have to pay for it. It must have cost a fortune for the ads and they seem have to made a massive mistake
hmmm... seem to remember hearing something about cars that are over 25 years old being considered vintage and therefore being exempted (don't quote me on this though!!!)... I'm sure Ian Flemming created chitty more than 25 years ago, so I guess the tax inspectors screwed up again...LOL!!!
Yep, I believe you're right - they were even talking about it on the radio the other day. Still is an amusing advert though!
