need your help guys , firstly am in scotland incase its diffrent laws...i had a 15 year old come to me because his stepfather hit him (but no witnesses) i called the police who took a statement and i said i was willing to watch him so they were happy with that and said they would contact social work how turned up today , they said he has to go back but the young lad is petrified and said no , so they said the police will come and just take him ...what can i do if anything???

forgot to say he is pressing charges against his stepfather if this helps
There must be more to this story than either you are telling us or than the young lad is telling you.

My only suggestion as to what you can do is to phone the NSPCC.

tells you what happens if you believe the child and take on the social services. - the one in the article was a serial complainer about doctors and also had a record and THEN managed to get on the board of regulation of the doctors ( GMC ). My! didnt they squawk !
[ erm no they applied to the high court to have her removed and she jumped ( resigned ) before she was pushed ]
