On the new Tesco Advert for Cherokee [pardon spelling] where it shows alot of Communist Propaganda type stuff, what music is playing in the background? i can't place my finger on it...

It's a piece of 'The Montagues and Capulets' from Prokofiev's 'Romeo & Juliet'.

and another website just calls it the Red Army's Anthem... gee never would have guessed

Definitely Prokofiev. But what have Cherokee and Tesco's clothes got to do with the Soviet Union?

yeah i think they kinda missed the mark on that one, the music is brilliant though

smorodina~ Tesco are trying to convey the style of their latest clothing range, kinda Russian peasant and  gypsyish. Hence the music :-}
