Pets in Animals and Nature - I think most of us who use this topic are interested in wildlife and the environment as well as pets, so I think this is really unnecessary.
Also TV in Films and TV - surely this is self explanatory!
But most of all, can we please have People and Places back as a heading, as this is where many of us used to put questions that didn't fit anywhere else (or that we felt the P & P addicts could best answer). Ok I know perhaps we used it to have a chat and a laugh, but really, where's the harm, I found it a great way to relax and exercise the leetle gray cells!

Yes. You know, I think most of us who asked for this-or-that category didn't really want them, we just wanted the Ed to cut us some slack and allow some friendly chat in connection with asking real questions and giving real answers. I do repent... I was one of those who agreed that a 'comedy category' might be nice... but I never go there now. I think what I miss most about the old AnswerBank is the surprise moments. Suddenly a question about .... tuna... or whatever. Now that everything is so categorized there are very few surprises.

Crystal Guides is now commercialising this site .... and has done a good job of collecting personal detail about some ABers .... the carrot of being paid for views is a well-used classic method from the marketing dept!!!
The AB site won't be returned to its old 'cuddly' way .... because that way does not pay --> you have to categorise SO THAT you can dice and slice some activities into a Premium Service.
The new Ed brought in, most likely, was selected on the basis of her experience in the new pastures that Crystal Guides now want to take AB and make money from.
