I ask the question because I do get curious to know what has happened to members who no longer post. It was in this section on March 29th of this year that a request was made to the Ed for the re-instatement of Gromit and within six minutes the expelled member was duly placed back into our ranks. However, Gromit's last posting was on the 31st of the same month; despite having been pleased to return into our membership.

There are lots of other examples....so perhaps we should have a section into which we could ask questions and post obituaries or any knowledge we may have of members who are listed as 'active' but no longer post.

Thanks Aberant and apologies to Gromit if I have been incorrect in the info which I thought I had picked up somewhere in AB; but I can't now recall where it was.

jno ...are you there and able to help me get out of this one.?

Ron.
Ron you've only looked at the profile of Gromit2 which was obviously a name he used until his original was reinstated

How would someone who no longer posts be able to tell you why?

Hi squarebear....I understand what you have said. However, I am not thinking of an actual correspondent speaking-up on the matter but others who may have information on someone who is no longer posting For instance, if I were to 'snuff it', an e/mail from the Ed to my address would I think get a reply from my wife Viv.( or some other family member who might check my e/mails)... In fact, I think the Ed has written in the past to regular members who were no longer posting.

Furthermore, if I were no longer interested in AB to take part in correspondence, I might still be 'looking in' and an enquiry about me could meet with a response. I think there are some folk who are still listed as 'Active' although we don't actually hear from them.

Best wishes....Ron
