I thought I was being good when I went to the Microsoft website to check out any updates.I found three and started to have them installed.I then received a message saying that the update concerning the mouse driver had not been installed as the mouse I was using had not passed Microsoft's check.I ticked a box saying "continue anyway" and a few seconds later a blue page appeared saying that Windows was being closed down. Now when I try to boot up I get a flash of this blue page and it does not boot up.
What can I do please ?

Sounds like you are using a mouse driver that has not been approved\certified by Microsoft for use with your operating system.
When you boot up you should see a screen that prompts you to press the F8 function key. Do that then select Last known good configuration. That should put the mouse driver back to the previous version.
Once you get back on search the internet for the latest driver for your mouse.

Even if it is not approved by Microsoft it should still work you did the correct thing .

The Blue screen should not happen after this message

If F8 doesn't work try safe mode to restart block this update in the future
