Hi all,

I wanted to let you know that I will be stepping down as AB Editor in a few weeks as I am moving on to a new role elsewhere.

The AB Editor account will be taken over by the new AnswerBank owner, who you will have already seen posting over the last couple of months from the ABEditor22 account. ABSpareEditor will be continuing to deal with the day-to-day as he has since 2018 - he's basically been running the show for a while now anyway and he does a fab job.

I've been the editor since I took over from our last one in June 2017. Before that, I had been Spare Ed since 2015 so have racked up around eight years here!

I'd particularly like to thank everyone for your support when I was off having my operations in 2018, and cheers for all the entertainment over the years! I'll be sure to continue lurking after I've left, and I'll be here for a couple more weeks yet before I finally step down.

Diddlydo - reported! (not really)
Ha ha Lankeela! I was expecting to find my earlier post deleted by the time I got back to it.
Cheers & good luck.
> Have you left the site in a better position than that you inherited?

The current AB Editor has been in office during the era of David Cameron, the Brexit vote, Theresa May, Boris Johnson, Covid-19, Ukraine, Liz Truss, and now Rishi Sunak! During that time, competition has abounded not only from other "social media" like Tiktok and Facebook, but also from other competitors for people's time, like Netflix, Youtube, Spotify - even long walks in the countryside got a boost thanks to lockdown! I magine that lot, along with her own personal health issues, was quite a challenge. So I think this AB Editor has done remarkably well, and deserves all the gifts that Buenchico is set to bestow upon her!

Haha, thank you Ellipsis!
Congratulations and good luck with your new venture. The Newer AB Editor to be is going to find it difficult to do the job as well as you have, and nigh on impossible to do it better. We have all been lucky to have your steady, consistent, measured guidance. Keep in touch on here because you never know ... the folk at the new place may not be as appreciative and you may want to come back. (._. )
Parole at last! I won't ask if it was for good behaviour... ;)
Enjoy life, your new position and good health.

If it is not too early - Mele Kalikimaka
