I have received an email from PPI people - googled them and they seem to be safe enough.

Can I just ask one question - do they have to ask me how much was the loan ie £8,000 etc cos I have just remembered another loan I took out albeit small but can't remember how much. Mortgage much much higher of course

Do they need to know the actual monies etc. Thanls

Ask them.
No, we didn't give the the amount of the loan, just the companies and they seem to have done the rest.
I think they just write to the companies and ask for details
