Why has the motif in the top left hand corner not been changed to mark this day. I notice it changes for St Patrick's Day and other patron saints day so why not St Georges.

Because it's a Saturday and the Eds don't work weekends.

Same story every year Sammy.
Perhaps they should have had the forethought to do it yesterday.
They've never changed it for St Georges day as far as I can remember. Or the other saints beside St Pat.
What other saints does it change for? It's not changed for St Andrew.
Well they flipping well should. I think I remember them doing something for St David's Day
what was that, a leek?
It has been changed in the past, both for St George and St Andrew. It was changed this year for St David. Strangely enough, I am not bothered. We don't really need a flag or celebration because we don't have an inferiority complex.
Daffodils if I remember correctly
In reality though how much time do you spend staring at the logo?
None.
The difference may be down to the fact that in Wales and Ireland the saints' days are public holidays, unlike in England and Scotland.
Not much to be fair - but if it's done for one it should be done for all of them.
It doesn't really matter because according to other threads currently running there may soon be just one motif for all. TTT's latest avatar illustrates this perfectly.
Perfectly to some, needless and tacky to others.

I only ever notice the logo when someone starts a thread about the logo.
daffs, ah well, there's an inclusive, all-purpose motif. They even grow here in the deep south along with other tropical plants.

Cotton?
All the dragons are too busy working on Game of Thrones.
Wales seem a bit greedy in this respect. Red Dragon Daffodils Leeks. :-)
...and not a sheep in sight.
