Just had another flash...turning off for a while now
I don't understand why the source of these problem ads isn't known and why AB doesn't simply refuse to accept ads from this source
@quizzywig......I agree with what you have said..."Ignore anything about java on this site ".

If you 'pump' Java into the Search Box at the top of this page, you'll be given a few very dubious sites from which to download.

Hans.
It's back for me. Yet again, it transported me to another site and downloaded malware on my computer. Can you please try to do something to permanently stop this? Where is it coming from?
oooh sorry here's the link, chrome ha now identified it as a phishing site:-

http://dl77.lsstny.com/topic/java/download.php?country=GB&ext=3&aid=184
@kvalidir......Your link gives me the following on-screen warning when using firefox.

If I test with Internet Explorer, I get what looks like the genuine Java site from which to take a download.

The whole matter is very disturbing.

Hans.
If you simple must have Java on your pc/laptop this is the only place to get it.

www,java.com

I have deliberately typed the url with a comma. Copy and paste this into your internet browser and replace the , with a .

I do not have Java on my machine and have not done so for many years.
@SA....I never use Java and if a site requires its installation into my computers, I seek out an alternative site.

Even Java downloaded from its official web page can bring along with it 'nasties'.

Hans.
yes, I am. Dont know how to get rid of it.

Download, install and run the free version of Malwarebytes Anti-Malware:
https://www.malwarebytes.org/antimalware/
NB: When installing it, take care to de-select the pre-ticked option to take a free trial of the 'Premium' version. Don't be surprised if a scan takes ages to run; that's normal. If, at the end of the scan, malware has been detected, use the 'Quarantine' option to remove it.

yup got one at 19 14

biocked by my anti virus who seeemd to have heard of it
I am cupid - I have shut down twice to try and get rid of it
Surely AB has Techies (albeit within its Server in USA) who are able to filter adds so that only safe ones are passed forward within AB.
