Entries to the crossword section or chatterbank do not appear in the 'most recent' section on the front page, could I suggest that jokes are also removed from this section.

Seconded.
Any reason particularly?
Welcome to the AnswerBank is a bit too chirpy also
What's wrong with chirpy?
We were actually thinking about removing that bibblebub and replacing it with some "at a glance" profile elements for logged in users.

The reason we don't have cb and q&p on the front page is the sheer number of posts in each other those sections.
('twas only said in jest)
Oh, I know :)

It can attract quite a lot of posts which in turn spams up the front page when trying to look for actual questions. As you can guess i dislike the category and would prefer to avoid it but more than that it does seem odd that the front page of a q&a site would feature so many non questions.
I think it would be a good idea to have the categories of most recent posts on the front page as you do in latest posts. I have clicked on so many that I wouldn't have bothered with if I'd known they were jokes.

That would make them easier to avoid if they had to stay on the front page
Thanks for clarifying IggyB, we'll discuss it this end.
Still not caught anything Ab Editor, I see?
I don't see the problem, some of the 'serious questions' are more laughable than the jokes.................
You don't catch things with a light-sabre!

You're talking about my previous banana dangling activities, right?

Poor bibble! And how disrespectful calling him 'it'.
Looks like the same old rod to me!
If you had your sound on Cupid you'd hear the "thrumm"
Sorry to sound stupid, but where is the Front Page?
Opposite the back page, which is far more interesting, the back page is where the really juicy stuff goes on.

Is it still "Chuck's Fantasy Chicks" on the back page?
