Testing The Mobile AnswerBank

Afternoon,

We hope to have a version of the Mobile AnswerBank up and running over the weekend for testing.

We've got a short-list of users we'd like to invite to come have a look. We'd like to make that list slightly longer.

Please register your interest in AB mobile below. I will look up your email address in the DB and send out details to there. To this end, make sure your email address is correct here: http://www.theanswerb...user/edit_profile.php

I'll give it a crack at some point over the weekend (I might try the mobile site too)

Although the normal version of the site works fine on my HD7 but it'll be interesting to try it on the little phone.
Question Author
"can this mobile version be used on an ipad?"

Yes it can :)
I'll be a guinea pig :-) I'm always on here on my mobile.
count me in then bub, I will give it a go on both (phone and ipad)

Just a warning: it is a reduced functionality site. You can do most of the normal things, but part of the deal is that it shouldn't be better than the desktop site :)
What doesn't it do, Ed?
You've not missed the dancing girls off the mobile site I hope!

"What doesn't it do, Ed?"

Sing, nor dance.

It doesn't have all the tabs for sorting and the latest posts is manual refresh - there will be other things which I can't think of right now.
Bah humbug, why isn't that ^^^ working!!

"You've not missed the dancing girls off the mobile site I hope!"

Course not, we wouldn't miss a core feature like that!
Neti, I think the : inside the italics stopped it working, the italics don't seem to like anything other than standard letters, numbers and basic punctuation.
Happy to have a look - email is correct - phone is an android samsung galaxy S2
Happy to help. I have an HTC HD7 Windows 7 Mobile device.

Yep!

Works here tambo, you haven't locked the screen orientation have you?
Neti try a space after your italics at the beginning and a space before italics at the end.

More WP7 love here than I expected!

Chuck, I've escaped the : character amongst others, so it shouldn't be that.
AB works very well on my BlackBerry using Opera Mini in single column view.
