Does anyone have a good idea of how to shorten a pair of shoelaces that are about 20 inches too long for my trainers..and no I can't return them.

Cut them and burn the ends. While still hot (not burning) roll them between your fingers.

I'm glad to hear I'm not alone Chico. Perhaps were meant to lace them up a la ballerina toe shoes!

Just cut them and dip the ends in warm candle wax to seal them.
