Hi Attended a speed awareness course today and the trainer said the word SLOW as a warning sign or painted on the road is an acronym... does anyone know what it is, as i cant remember?

They've made up an acronym, then, to use on a perfectly acceptable existing instruction word. SLOW = less fast.....

Yes boxtops - see my post above.
It's more of a road safety slogan than an official interpretation of the road marking which just means - slow.
