You've got to read labels. I sent off an irate email to M&S a few years ago when I discovered sugar was added to some cheese I'd bought. Sugar? Cheese?...noooo!

i think this info has been around a while now, health experts having been saying as much for ages. We really don't know what is in much of our foodstuffs, convenient, quick, lets eat. I don't buy packet foods, ready meals, the one time i did, one bite and then it went in the bin
We always cook everything from fresh stuff now- even down to mincing our own burgers, it's the only way you can control what's in your food.
By nature there will always be an element of sugar in a sweet and sour. These are all "sweet" dishes and therefore used to exaggerate the headline.
if you look at the packaging of what's in the foodstuffs, it should tell you how much sugar, i know foodstuffs have natural sugars, but they don't need to add more in,
Ready meals I can avoid, I am more worried these days in the alarming amounts of antibiotics routinely added to animal feed and so would be in the meat I am buying.
robofluff, you can avoid that by buying organic meat
