It's also been said that if Scotland votes "Yes" it could become one of the most prosperous countries in Europe, second perhaps only to Norway. Certainly, Norway is the example that the SNP use most often as an example of a relatively small but extremely prosperous country and an all-round top place to live.
I have no doubt at all that if independence is won, one of the first things that an independent Scotland will do is build the turbines across the Pentland Firth which, if Salmond is to be believed, will generate approximately half of the country's energy requirements for the foreseeable future.
